Application Interface
FlowDesigner represents a breakthrough in fluid system design and analysis technology. As a cloud-based platform, it empowers engineers and designers to simulate, design, optimize and troubleshoot fluid transport systems with ease and unprecedented precision.
FlowDesigner Key Interface Areas

Main Toolbar
The main toolbar in FlowDesigner consists of two primary sections:
File Management: Enables users to create, open, and save files, as well as export flowsheets in various formats.
Help & Setting toolkit: Provides access to:
User Guides
Application Changelog
Bug Reports and Feature Requests
Admin Actions (includes Application Settings and User Details)
Elements Palette
The Elements Palette, positioned on the left side of the flowsheet, gives you quick access to all components required for building hydraulic models.
Each category box displays the most recently used element by default.
Hover over any box to view all available options for that component type.
Click an element to activate placement mode (indicated by a highlighted box), then place it directly onto the flowsheet with a single click.
Flowsheet Area

The Flowsheet Area serves as the central workspace for building hydraulic models. It features:
Standard management and navigation tools:
Copy, paste, delete
Group
Select & Find elements
Undo/redo
Zoom controls
The solve toolkit includes:
Solve button for performing calculations
Auto-Calculation toggle
Solver Mode dropdown with Standard, Variation, and Transient options
Display tools at the bottom right allow you to:
Switch between 2D and 3D model layouts
Toggle visibility of charts, images, and annotations
Show/hide pipe tags, node tags, and key IDs
Panel Sidebar

The Panel Sidebar is a versatile set of tools on the right-hand edge of the workspace that helps you define and analyze model information. It includes:
Panel Manager: For re-docking, locking, or closing active panels
Scenario Panel: Manages multiple calculation cases from a parent model, reducing input errors, eliminating file duplication, and simplifying comparison of alternatives
Input Panel: For defining fluid properties, pipe and component data, charts, tables, text, images, and other flowsheet elements. Input fields dynamically update to show only selection-specific items
Transient Panel (Coming Soon): For hamering and transient system behavior analysis.
The panels can be floated, repositioned, locked, or hidden as needed, creating a flexible interface that helps engineers work efficiently with complex systems.
Results Viewer

The Results Viewer provides easy access to calculation results through three key buttons:
Results Table button: Displays comprehensive calculation results for all pipes and nodes in the flowsheet
Notifications button: Shows important messages about convergence and calculation outcomes
Costs button: Presents cost-related charts for analysis
Status Bar

The status bar located at the bottom of the application displays the following information:
Currently open hydraulic model filename
Calculation time for the most recent solve
Life cycle cost and projected carbon emissions of the calculated model
Application version number
Active scenario calculation status
DataBank
The DataBank stores fluid properties and component flow resistance data, obtained from manufacturers and allows users to view, edit, and create new entries.
