SmartSelect accelerates equipment specification by automatically matching calculated requirements to manufacturer data in FlowDesigner's DataBank. Instead of manually searching catalogs for suitable pipes, pumps, or control valves, SmartSelect applies engineering criteria to identify optimal selections from thousands of manufacturer specifications. This database-driven approach reduces specification time while ensuring equipment selections meet both hydraulic performance and practical availability requirements.

Executing SmartSelect

1. Solve the hydraulic model

2. Engage SmartSelect panel

3. Select applicable component

4. Define selection criteria

5. Click "Run SmartSelect" button

6. Analyze software results once Smartselect calculation has been completed

7. Clicking "Push to Model" applies the identified and ticked manufacturer specification in the model.

8. Closing the SmartSelect window without clicking “Push to Model” disregards the calculation results.
